Telemetry Technician – Nights 7PM‑7AM (36 Hours)
Reports to the Virtual Health Inpatient Manager, the Telemetry Technician will continuously observe and interpret assigned ECG rhythm monitors, respond promptly to alarms and ECG changes, and provide accurate documentation. Working from a centralized location, the technician will monitor multiple patients for the entirety of the 36‑hour shift.

Start Pay: $19.40/hr plus shift differential for eligible shifts
FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt
Responsibilities- Perform telemetry monitoring on patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
- Observe and communicate cardiac patterns on telemetric devices.
- Identify and respond to basic rhythms, lethal rhythms, and artifacts.
- Respond promptly to alarms and ECG changes to ensure patient safety.
- Escalate rhythm changes to bedside nurse, charge nurse, or team lead per established processes.
- Document irregular rhythms and monitor changes in heartbeat.
- Document findings in Electronic Health Record (EPIC).
- Monitor patients from a centralized location.
- Monitor multiple patients throughout the shift.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, providers, support staff, coworkers, and management.
- Contribute to development of protocols, procedures, patient education, and training as assigned; participate in peer review, quality assurance, and committee functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Process admissions, transfers, and discharge orders appropriately.
- Assist in the orientation of new telemetry technician personnel.
- Maintain knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EPIC).
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and completion of SEH/SEP ECG class with minimum yearly exam scores: 85% overall, 100% on lethal arrhythmias.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of applicable experience; prior experience as a telemetry technician is desired.

Valid driver’s license (minimum requirement);
