Job SummaryThis position is the main contact for current and prospective Dual Enrollment students. It is responsible for organizing all admission documents and state‑required forms for Dual Enrollment.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities- Serve as the primary contact for Dual Enrollment, including inquiries from students, parents, and school counselors.
- Approve Dual Enrollment Funding Applications.
- Coordinate with the Student Engagement and Achievement (SEA) Center to assist with the registration process for Dual Enrollment students, including ensuring students meet GPA and prerequisite requirements.
- Host a Dual Enrollment orientation for new students each semester.
- Attend Dual Enrollment events at local area high schools.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field.
- One year of professional experience in higher education, or demonstrated experience in data collection, record keeping, and customer service.
- Documented history of successfully learning and leveraging technology in the workplace.
- Familiarity with higher education operations.
- General understanding of CRM technology and its best practices, support, and functionality.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant student prospect information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems, prioritize tasks, and implement projects independently.
- Excellent customer service, attention to detail, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
The Executive Director of Recruitment and Admissions controls and assigns work for this position as needed.
GuidelinesGuidelines include the University System of Georgia Academic and Student Affairs Handbook, the Board of Regents Policy Manual, the FVSU academic catalog, and Admissions Office policies and procedures. These guidelines require judgment, selection and interpretation in application, and this position develops department guidelines.
Complexity / Scope of WorkThe work consists of varied duties in directing the university's admissions functions, with a variety of tasks contributing to the complexity of the position.
ContactsContacts are typically with co‑workers, other university employees, students, applicants, parents, high school counselors, representatives of other colleges and universities, and members of the general public.
Physical Demands / Work EnvironmentTypically performed in an office. Requires driving for extended periods, and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and assemble/disassemble display materials.
