Job Summary
:
The Department of Business Administration seeks a part‑time instructor to provide high‑quality accounting instruction and to contribute to the department’s mission of student learning and service.
- Teach accounting courses and demonstrate subject‑matter expertise and instructional competence.
- Apply innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods to continuously improve the quality of instruction.
- Develop and use a syllabus for each course or laboratory according to college, departmental, and discipline guidelines, and submit one copy to the department chair.
- Plan, develop, and apply a variety of innovative teaching methods and materials to help students meet course objectives and learning outcomes.
- Adapt instructional approaches to meet the needs of students with different educational backgrounds, experiences, and learning styles.
- Evaluate student performance to measure progress toward learning objectives and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate student records and submit required reports and forms within established deadlines.
- Review, evaluate, and recommend appropriate textbooks and learning materials for accounting courses.
- Assist the department chair, when appropriate, with routine maintenance of instructional laboratories.
- Show interest and competence in the use of classroom technology and demonstrate a willingness to explore new instructional methods.
- Submit all grades, attendance rosters, and other required documents by designated deadlines.
• Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) graduate credit hours in Accounting from an accredited business school.
• At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level.
• Experience teaching in both face‑to‑face and online modalities.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., student evaluations, peer reviews, teaching awards).
• Relevant industry or business experience in the field of Accounting.
