Job SummaryThe position is a full‑time, tenure‑track appointment in the Department of Natural and Computational Sciences within the College of Arts and Sciences.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate mathematics, including theory, applications, and statistics, in face‑to‑face, online, or hybrid formats.
- Assign courses as directed, maintaining a minimum of ten hours of office time per week.
- Advising and active participation in student recruitment.
- Conduct research of good quality and strengthen the department’s program.
- Solicit external research funding.
- Assess student learning outcomes continuously.
- Plan curricula and review courses.
- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
- Engage in community outreach and professional service.
- Assist students in internships and job placement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ph.D. in Mathematics.
- Experience and coursework in differential equations, numerical analysis, abstract algebra, probability, statistics, or data science.
- Preference for candidates with graduate‑level statistics or data science training.
- Two to three years teaching at the university level.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Teamwork and collaboration with traditional and non‑traditional students.
- Demonstrated research and scholarly success.
