Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, labor, and delivery by planning, developing, and implementing production process enhancements. Partner cross-functionally to support engineering changes, stabilize operations, and elevate factory performance through data-driven problem solving and disciplined execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide day-to-day technical support to production lines to maintain safety, quality, and throughput.
- Create and maintain tooling, routers, labor standards, raw-material structures, and process instructions to enable timely engineering changes.
- Own goals aligned to Manufacturing Engineering and Operations; report progress and results with clear documentation.
- Review product design updates in PLM and assess downstream manufacturing impact; plan implementations with minimal disruption.
- Quantify labor effects of design/process changes and develop mitigation plans to protect schedules.
- Build business cases and prepare capital requests to fund equipment and process improvements.
- Develop and implement process improvements leveraging SPC, PFMEA, and control plans.
- Apply structured root-cause methods to resolve production issues and prevent recurrence.
- Operate within an ISO 9000 quality system and produce customer-ready documentation.
- Record activities, metrics, and outcomes; perform related duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably with complex assemblies (e.g., body/chassis).
- Proficiency reading engineering drawings and using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers).
- Experience with PLM and program/launch activities; strong project management skills and stakeholder influence.
- Hands-on competence with MS Office; strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Nice to have: CAD proficiency; leadership or production supervision background; automotive industry experience.
