Job Summary
Fort Valley State University invites applications for the position of Human Resources Coordinator. The Coordinator will coordinate HR functions including classification, recruitment, benefits, professional development, training, records management, employee relations, and performance evaluations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities- Primary point of contact for the Office of Human Resources, greeting customers, answering/referring calls, retrieving and distributing mail.
- Provide administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
- Manage and coordinate HR communications for appropriate response and HR processing.
- Manage and maintain personnel records, filing and e-Verify process.
- Assist with coordinating and implementing HR related policies, processes, and procedures.
- Coordinate participation in the recruitment activities of student workers and staff.
- Coordinate the electronic Personnel Action Notice (PAN) process.
- Assist with coordinating employee wellness initiatives.
- Assist with the annual performance review process.
- Assist with coordinating electronic requests for classification and compensation.
- Assist with coordinating professional development and training activities.
- Provide administrative support, such as monitoring the workflow, preparing and coordinating HR documentation.
- Monitor HR e-forms and email communication notifications.
- Assist with providing frequent HR data reporting.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Knowledge Required By The Position- Effective time management, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Effective oral and verbal communication with external and internal customers.
- Ability to multi-task and great attention to detail.
- Knowledge of office policies and procedures, basic computer operations and software.
- Knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
