Construction Project Coordinator

Servpro of Fort Walton Beach is hiring a Construction Project Coordinator.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented individual to join our construction team as a Construction Project Coordinator. In this role, you will facilitate the smooth execution of construction projects by coordinating and overseeing various aspects of the construction process. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating construction projects from start to finish, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, specifications, contracts, and change orders.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and update project stakeholders on the status of construction activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of construction materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure construction activities meet quality standards and comply with project specifications.
  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines, budget, or quality, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in managing changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, evaluating change requests and coordinating adjustments with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in construction coordination, project management, or a related role within the construction industry.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Proficiency in project‑management software and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and ability to manage supplier relationships.
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities to address project challenges.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of customer service and/or office‑related experience.
  • Ability to multitask and remain detail oriented.
  • Must be knowledgeable in relevant computer applications.
Skills, Physical Demands, Competencies

This is a sedentary role in a fast‑paced office environment. Some filing is required. The role may require lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing as necessary. Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
