Summary:

Seeking a Design Engineer with extensive experience in aviation-related design engineering, focusing on aircraft structures and systems modifications. Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Aviation Design Engineering or related fields Proficient in Solid Works, AutoCAD, and analysis tools like Solid Works FEA and Femap/NASTRAN Expertise in aviation wiring, cabling, and avionics

Experience with creating and maintaining Bill of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation Potential travel to Continental US and international locations Preferred

Skills:

Experience in Civil and Military Aviation design engineering Knowledge of FAA STC Approval process and Military Airworthiness process Familiarity with government regulations (FAA & military) Understanding of various manufacturing processes and test instrumentation Risk management processes knowledge (DFMEA, PFMEA) Responsibilities:
Conceptualize and design modifications for aircraft structures, systems, and components Conduct aerodynamic and structural analysis to ensure performance, safety, and durability Support the design, development, testing of aircraft systems ensuring compliance with safety, quality standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions based on system requirements
