The role is an on‑site position at our Baton Rouge, LA site. It is location‑dependent and requires candidates to be near a Jacobs U.S. office or commute to Baton Rouge.

• Design and provide technical design leadership of wireless systems for data center buildings, including Commercial DAS, Public Safety DAS, LMR, Site Radio, RoIP, Wi‑Fi, and Tower Studies.
• Work with BIM designers to create drawing packages.
• Coordinate with AHJ’s, Radio System Owners, and carriers.
• Create or modify DIV 27 specifications.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, managing schedules and budgets.

• Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience actively designing wireless telecommunications systems, including LMR 2‑way radio (outdoor LMR, Site Radio, RoIP), Public Safety DAS, Commercial DAS (OTA DAS, Neutral Host DAS, DRAN DAS).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner, or a combination of modeling programs.
• Experience working with clients to identify wireless communication needs.
• Experience troubleshooting wireless system issues from field teams and optimizing networks during design and installation.
• Knowledge of Noise Floor, SNIR, Return Loss, VSWR and NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, NFPA 1225; IFC section 510;
  Carrier KPI’s; IBC; FCC Part 20 and Part 90; FCC OET bulletin 65; MOTOTRBO and Motorola R56 installation standards; DMR Tier III.
• Familiarity with Navisworks.
• Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clients.
• Excellent project management skills, including responding to RFPs, creating budgets, schedules, and mitigating risks.
• iBwave Level 2 Certification is required.

• Experience designing Wi‑Fi systems.
• EDX or Motorola design certifications.
• FCC GROL, NICET Design Certification, and multiple OEM product certifications.
• Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering degree.
• EIT or PE.
