Job Description
** CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD **
Clearance Required:
Top Secret/ SCI
The Information Operations (IO) Assistant provides critical support for AFSOC missions within the information environment. This role contributes to strategic, operational, and tactical planning of IO efforts integrating deception, OPSEC, and Military Information Support Operations (MISO), to enhance operational effectiveness and security.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in developing and coordinating IO strategies across mission levels (strategic, operational, tactical)
- Support planning for Deception and OPSEC measures to protect operations and influence adversary decision‑making
- Facilitate integration of information‑related capabilities across all mission areas
- Collaborate with units to align MISO, OPSEC, and Deception with larger mission goals
- Provide subject matter expertise to IO planners, commanders, and staff
- Offer recommendations on optimizing influence efforts in the information environment
- Minimum of 6 years of military/defense Information Operations, military deception, and operational security experience. Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- 15 years’ experience can supersede the education requirements.
- 10 years of experience listed
- Completion of JPME
- Completion of Air Force Signature Management Course (legacy title Air Force OPSEC Course) and Operational Denial and Deception Course
