Mental Health Technician

Responsibilities

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is one of the nation’s largest health‑care management companies. We are currently seeking full‑time Mental Health Technicians (MHT) for Gulf Coast Treatment Center, an intensive inpatient psychiatric program for adolescent females, ages 12–18.

The MHT functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment. MHTs provide supervision in a treatment or educational milieu, assist in maintaining a safe, secure environment, and intervene effectively in crisis situations.

Staff will work three days during the week (Monday–Friday) and every other weekend, 9 am–9 pm or 9 pm–9 am. Pay starts at $16.25 per hour, varying with experience. Please apply at .

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous working experience in mental health.
• Must be able to pass AHCA level 2 background screen and pre‑employment drug screen.
