The Director Revenue-Hotel will provide direction to property teams, identify and implement revenue opportunities for a full service, premium select and/or independent branded hotel, and support daily and strategic objectives. The role requires participation as a key member of the Executive Committee and dedication to maximize the hotel’s revenue and profitability.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field is required; alternatively a 4‑year college degree in business statistics, revenue management, or hospitality with at least 3 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel for formulation and reporting.
- Understanding of general hotel operations and the philosophy of yield management.
- Experience with a branded or similar PMS system, internet and travel websites, and industry reports such as Travel click and STR.
- Ability to work with financial information and data, perform basic arithmetic functions, and assimilate complex information from disparate sources.
- Use critical thinking skills to investigate changes in demand, pace, production, and channel/source contribution to anticipate responses and communicate critical information.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Strong organizational management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Approach all interactions with owners, guests and associates in a friendly, objective, and service‑oriented manner.
- Compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage professional, safe and efficient operations.
- Set, manage and collaborate with GM/DOS to input appropriate yield controls and maximize hotel revenue across all distribution channels.
- Coordinate with the front office team to maximize revenue through effective inventory management, upselling and sell‑out efficiency.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to provide consultation on group and catering strategies and to ensure the hotel’s meeting space is used to maximize room and food & beverage revenue.
- Manage brand/third‑party channels and relationships by working with OTA market managers on promotions and market exposure; analyze ROI on paid placements or marketing programs to ensure revenue maximization.
- Distribute meeting notes and applicable reports to stakeholders in a timely manner and facilitate meetings when needed.
- Leverage, manage and maintain the systems, daily operations, forecasting support and reporting in accordance with hotel and brand revenue‑management standards.
- Analyze revenue reports to make yield‑management decisions, update inventory and rate information, and perform displacement analysis to support group sales decisions.
- Place test calls to ensure accuracy of rate quoting, restrictions and selling approach.
- Prepare and analyze market segmentation reports, production reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick‑up reports and pace summaries; compile, distribute and interpret sales and revenue data.
- Analyze STR reports to understand gains or losses of RevPAR Index, apply knowledge to future results and develop proactive strategies to gain share against competitors.
- Develop, monitor and adjust group pricing strategies, preferred patterns and need periods when necessary.
- Serve as key contact for questions regarding system use or revenue‑management principles; provide in‑person training as required.
- Engage in the annual BT pricing process, provide data analysis of production trends and price guidance to align with revenue goals.
- Collaborate with the strategy team to execute daily, weekly and monthly forecasts and the annual budget.
- Participate in monthly financial reviews (ownership invited), focusing on sales, revenue and P&L; level of involvement varies by portfolio type.
- Represent the hotel at industry functions as applicable.
- Manage and communicate group cut‑off dates.
- Monitor the hotel’s status throughout the day, adjust inventory controls through the revenue system and communicate with the strategy team.
- Potentially develop and coach a revenue team based on hotel size or structure.
