• Always approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Promotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
• Engages and creates a positive experience for guests.
• Assists with event preparation, set up, and closing, including setting up and packing away tables, tablecloths and place settings, and buffets.
• Greets guests as they enter a venue and helps them to find their seats.
• Sees to the comfort of guests through answering questions, taking orders, conveying special instructions to the kitchen and bar, and serving food and beverages.
• Circulates the room with trays of appetizers and beverages.
• Recommends beer or wine selections to guests.
• Maintains a friendly attitude, attending all guests in an efficient and prompt manner.
• Directs guests to necessary services and features and leads guests on tours of the location.
• Collects used dishes and utensils from tables and return them to the dishwashing area, making sure that all dishes and utensils are clean before use.
• Organizes special functions as directed by management.
• Stays current and up to date with all hotel’s special events.
• Projects a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
• Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe working area along with awareness of all sanitary practices.
• Supports other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Adheres to safety and quality regulations.
• Handles guest complaints and solve problem to the degree possible.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by management.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of server and customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.
• Knowledge of reservation and POS systems.
• Ability to work with computers and good knowledge of operating software preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
• Must be a team player.
