You will oversee a small team of Installation & Service Technicians, ensuring seamless service delivery, operational efficiency, and high customer satisfaction within the restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems industry.
The role reports directly to the VP of Systems and serves as a key liaison between field staff, customers, and corporate leadership.
This role also oversees the full lifecycle of local client onboarding; from pre-installation planning through go-live execution. By leading both onsite customer-facing and internal training efforts, the Systems Manager plays a critical role in driving customer satisfaction, reducing churn, and supporting scalable growth.
- Supervise, schedule, and support a team of 5–6 installation and service technicians to ensure optimal field coverage and performance.
- Provide coaching, training, and ongoing performance feedback to promote technical excellence and customer-first onsite service.
- Manage day-to-day office operations including inventory control, vehicle maintenance coordination, and office administration.
- Serve as the local point of contact for operational escalations and resolution of urgent customer issues.
- Oversee the execution of local client onboarding, including hardware preparation, system configuration, network setup, and onsite user training.
- Manage all aspects of customer go-live support, ensuring timely and seamless cutovers, system testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure associates are well-prepared and equipped to deliver high-quality onboarding and implementation services.
- Ensure comprehensive onsite training to clients’ restaurant staff, ensuring confidence in POS usage and satisfaction at launch.
- Monitor technician performance and provide guidance during field installations, upgrades, and service visits.
- Support technicians in resolving complex issues during or after installations for all on-site needs.
- Champion a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and technical excellence in every customer interaction.
- Actively monitor and improve key service metrics including resolution times, deployment success rates, and first-call resolution.
- Serve as a secondary contact for high-profile or escalated accounts within the region
- 3 years in a technical services, operations, or field support role; prior supervisory experience required.
- Background in point-of-sale systems, IT field services, or hospitality technology is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in or serving the restaurant industry
- Ability to effectively manage teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- General understanding of computer networks, inclusive of devices, installation, and setup.
