Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Fort Walton Beach , Florida

As an RN in the PCU, you will provide intermediate-level care for patients who require close monitoring and nursing care that is less intensive than that provided in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but more than a general medical-surgical unit.

Job specification

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other health indicators, providing timely interventions when necessary.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physicians' orders.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatments, recovery processes, and post-discharge care.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient's conditions and escalate care when necessary to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and best practices for quality patient care.

Candidate requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), ICU, or Telemetry unit
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
• Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in night shifts preferred but not required
