We are looking for a skilled and friendly Restaurant Server to join our team. This position plays a big role in creating and providing the best customer experience and satisfaction. Your ultimate goal should be to provide exceptional guest experience. Duties include taking food and drink orders, ensuring that tables are served properly and that all payments are collected.

Pay

Hourly — Starting  USD (based on experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Always approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
  • Engage and create a positive experience for guests.
  • Greet guests and present menus.
  • See to the comfort of guests through answering questions, conveying special instructions to the kitchen and bar, and making suggestions based on their preferences.
  • Take and serve food and drinks orders, up-selling when appropriate.
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu and all specials.
  • Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
  • Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
  • Deliver checks at the end of their meals and collect and handle payments.
  • Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff.
  • Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and customer service guidelines.
  • Maintain a friendly attitude, attending to guests in an efficient and prompt manner.
  • Collect used dishes and utensils from tables and return them to the dishwashing area.
  • Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
  • Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working area with awareness of sanitary practices.
  • Support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Adhere to safety and quality regulations.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve problems to the degree possible.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of server and customer service experience required; hospitality industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English to communicate with guests and team members.
  • Knowledge of reservation and POS systems.
  • Ability to work with computers and knowledge of operating software preferred.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
  • Must be a team player.
