Adventist Health Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department at Fort Washington Medical Center. The RN will embody our mission to provide compassionate, holistic care to patients and uphold ANA standards of practice.
Responsibilities- Educate patients and families about care continuum and facilitate knowledge advancement through feedback and guidance from senior nurses.
- Serve as a role model for Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices.
- Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards, and exemplify Adventist Health Care values.
- Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non‑nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop a plan of care tailored to patient populations.
- Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action.
- Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient‑centered care.
- Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
- Perform efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
- Identify improvement opportunities in clinical care and participate in evidence‑based practice changes.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Passing score on NCLEX.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
- Current Maryland State nursing license.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification as required by specialty area.
Full‑time – 40 hours per week, day or night shift.
CompensationBase salary: $37.00 – $55.00 per hour. Eligible for up to a $25,000 sign‑on bonus. Emergency Department RNs receive a $7/hr differential.
