Night shift, 4x12-hour, from 18:45 to 07:15. Every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides high-quality emergency and critical care to patients in a fast-paced environment, overseeing patient triage, assessment, and care. The nurse will manage a variety of acute health conditions and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care and triage for patients of all age groups, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

• Monitor patients' vital signs and assessment results, responding promptly to changes in condition.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy and continuous sedation.

• Utilize cardiac monitoring and respond to dysrhythmias, managing acute situations as required.

• Perform special procedures, including conscious sedation, sutures, and minor orthopedic interventions.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services, including respiratory therapy, radiology, and social services to enhance patient care.

• Maintain patient documentation in the Cerner electronic medical record system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department or critical care setting.

• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS are required.

• Additional preferred skills include continuous IV sedation, triage, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.

• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and adhere to a strict no-tobacco policy.
