Job DescriptionWe are seeking Adult Protective Services Investigators with these same qualities to conduct thorough investigations and document investigation activities involving allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation involving endangered adults. Briljent is dedicated to hiring a unique team of qualified people to serve our clients.
Day‑to‑day Duties- Investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation involving endangered adults.
- Conduct thorough investigations, including interviews, record reviews, and collaboration with other investigative agencies.
- Initiate and facilitate referrals to services and community resources.
- Document investigation activities, including case planning, safety planning, case notes, and findings.
- Serve as the Priority A responder to initiate timely contact with clients facing immediate harm on a rotating basis.
- Respond to all assigned investigations within the required timeframe.
- Review and respond to quality assurance evaluations.
- Critical thinking, incorporating multiple factors into larger concepts.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple investigations simultaneously.
- Customer‑relations techniques, professionalism, and respect for other cultures.
- Active listening and interviewing skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies and regulations.
- Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet skills.
- Teamwork ability with all levels of management and staff.
- Independent and collaborative work competence.
- Superior verbal and written communication.
- Strong decision‑making skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with Adult Protective Services, investigative, social, human services, or law‑enforcement work.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- Willingness and ability to commute to the following Indiana counties:
Adams, Allen, Blackford, DeKalb, Elkhart, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, Whitley.
