Math Teacher - High School

Purpose

The ideal candidate will have the ability to create a learning environment that challenges students at all ability levels and encourages inquiry, collaboration and creativity. Teachers will be required to integrate technology into classroom activities, differentiate instruction, effectively utilize formative and summative assessments, and use data to inform instruction.

Certified teacher in the state of Indiana as regulated by the IDOE or instructor acceptable to the Higher Learning Commission. Ability and the desire to teach Dual Credit preferred. Specific teaching assignment will be determined based on need. Preferred candidates will have the ability to confidently teach higher level math courses including Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Statistics, and Calculus. Interest and willingness to pursue advanced coursework beyond a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Must have the ability to work in a team environment. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills necessary. Alternatives to the above qualifications may be found appropriate and acceptable by the Board. Special consideration given to those with a master’s degree in the content area.
