South Side | Swim & Dive | .25 Assistant Coach

Fort Wayne Community Schools invites applications for the South Side | Swim & Dive | .25 Assistant Coach position for the 2025‑2026 school year. Pay may be prorated based on the approved hire date.

• Comply with IHSAA,Յ MSAC rules and regulations and all FWCS policies, including the FWCS code of ethics.
• Prefer candidates with high‑school coaching experience.
• Be able to work effectively with students from multicultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrate a commitment to developing positive working relations with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
• Instruct and supervise all athletic practices and games.
• Maintain high academic and athletic expectations for students.
• Collaborate with other head coaches and assistants.
• Obtain or be willing to obtain SPB/Minibus certification before season start.

• Prefer candidates who will be teaching at South Side High School for the 2025‑2026 school year.
• If the applicant[layer> is a current FWCS teacher, the teacher must fulfill their daily contracted hours before coaching.
• If not an FWCS teacher, the candidate must be available at 3:30 a.m. Monday through Friday afternoons.
• Valid driver’s license required.

• Manual Dexterity — Adeptness in the use of hands and fingers.
  
  Postural Endurance — Sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Flexibility — Ability to bend at the waist, kneel or crouch to perform specific duties.
• Visual Acuity — Close‑vision ability with the capacity to adjust focus.
• Mobility — Freedom to sit or walk at will throughout the work environment.
• Strength and Stamina — Capability to lift, carry, push or pull up to fifty (50) pounds or more.
• Outdoor Work — Tolerance of working outside in various weather conditions.
