Position: Pre-School/Youth Site Supervisor (Seasonal)

Pre-School/Youth Site Supervisor

Schedule:

May (10 hrs/week);
June–August (30 hrs/week). Evening availability required. PODS up to 40 hrs/week.

What You'll Do

Lead and support Pre-School/Youth sports and activity programs while supervising staff, coordinating daily operations, and creating a safe, engaging environment for kids and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and oversee youth sports and PODS programs, including lesson plans and daily activities
  • Supervise, coach, and support seasonal staff; step in as needed to keep programs running smoothly
  • Coordinate equipment, rosters, attendance, schedules, and weekly summaries
  • Ensure participant safety, enforce rules, and handle day-to-day staff or parent concerns
  • Conduct staff training, meetings, evaluations, and end-of-program reports
Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides routine supervision for up to 20 Pre-School/Youth Leaders and staff, overseeing instruction, program delivery, and on-site operations.

What You Bring – Education & Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • One year of college preferred (Education, Sports Management, Recreation, or related field)
  • Two years of post-high-school experience in athletic activities or sports programs preferred
Preferred Certifications
  • First Aid and CPR certification (required within two weeks of hire; provided by the City)
Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to plan programs, manage staff, and solve on-site issues
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Comfort working outdoors and in active, high-energy environments
