Our client, a leading electric utility company, is seeking a Technician Associate to join their Grid Modernization and Transmission Projects team. The Technician Associate will support design and analysis efforts, bringing strong technical knowledge, clear communication, and proactive problem‑solving skills to the organization.
Job Title: Technician Associate
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Pay Range: 23.57
What’s the Job?- Utilize DDS software to analyze distribution utility poles for grid modernization or line rebuild projects.
- Track project due dates and collaborate with design teams, project managers, and line coordinators to ensure design accuracy and quality.
- Assist in handling routine problems and support the development of technical reports and documentation.
- Support the design of grid modernization and transmission‑related projects across service territories.
- Participate in travel as needed for project support and damage assessment during storms.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of related utility industry experience or an Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Ability to read and understand schematic drawings.
- Comfortable with customer service and data entry tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Physical demand level is sedentary; ability to support travel within service territory.
