USI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Transportation Engineer to join our Roadway Design Team throughout Indiana. We are looking for a candidate who is well-organized and able to perform road design engineering duties. The ideal candidate is willing to apply their current skills to practical work situations. We expect the applicant to be a competent engineer who is ready for the next step in their career.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for transportation and geometric roadway design, plan development, public presentation, specification writing, drainage calculations, quantity calculations, cost estimating, utility coordination, permitting, and technical report writing.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team on Local Public Agency and INDOT projects
  • Effectively communicate project status items to the Road Design Team and clients.
  • Assist in the recruitment of new talent and contribute to a positive company culture.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BSCE) in Civil Engineering
  • Indiana Professional Engineer Licensure or the eligibility to obtain
  • Working knowledge of INDOT Design Manual standards, specifications, and procedures
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
  • Have working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Basic experience in programming, macros, or task automation
