I and C Engineer - Entry Level (Data Centers)

Jacobs is seeking an Entry‑Level Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Data Centers team. This role involves designing and optimizing control systems for state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities, managing project schedules, and ensuring technical quality.

$58,656.00/yr – $80,000.00/yr

• Develop and document P&IDs, size valves, and specify instrumentation for control systems.
• Design and model control system architecture in accordance with building codes and industry standards.
• Coordinate work activities with other engineering disciplines and provide on‑site assistance during startup.
• Maintain project schedules and technical deliverables, ensuring compliance with client expectations, scope, and budget.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement process optimizations.

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Revit software preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) status is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a forward‑thinking mindset.
• Ability to learn quickly, collaborate effectively, and drive continuous improvement.
• Passion for buildings and construction.
• Prior experience with DDC and PLC‑based control systems.
• Experience with Data Center design or operations.
