Position OverviewAdaptek Systems is seeking top‑notch mechanical design engineer to assist in the design & development of custom automated systems. The ideal candidate for this role would possess a strong mechanical design knowledge, attention to detail, understanding of machining tolerances, strong communication and decision‑making skills.
Responsibilities Include- Designing automated mechanisms, fixturing and machines from quoted concepts and budgets.
- Sourcing and integration of components such as actuators, robotics, feeders, sensors and material handling components.
- Utilization of ERP procurement software to purchase all needed vendor parts.
- Detailing & dimensioning of mechanical components to Adaptek design standards for internal machining and fabrication processes.
- Ability to address design or function related questions from the machining or assembly departments.
- Design budget management (design hours & mechanical material costs).
- Execution of design within approved schedule.
- Work closely with other project team members (electrical & controls engineers).
- ME or MET bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor software.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic & hydraulic systems & schematics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Clean, climate‑controlled working environment.
