Structural Design Technician

Position

Structural Design Technician at Jacobs.

$61,100 – $84,000 per year. Salary is determined hourly based on hours worked, location and experience.

Any location in the United States.

• Develop structural design concepts and create models from scratch.
• Coordinate designs with clients and construction trade partners, considering existing conditions and other disciplines.
• Convey structural requirements to the construction team through 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models.
• Lead a small project team of designers, establishing project standards, procedures, training and maintaining team morale.
• Support the Built Environment team as part of the Advanced Manufacturing group.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of drafting/design experience in the structural field.
• At least 1 year of Revit experience.
• At least 3 years of AutoCAD design experience.

• At least 2 additional years of Revit experience.
• Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Experience leading a team of designers.
• Experience with healthcare, institutional, or commercial buildings.
• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
