  • If the Hwy Designer III position cannot be filled, NDOT will consider applicants at the Hwy Designer II level.


    Pay ranges:

    • Hwy Designer II: $23.140 - $34.111 per hour
    • Hwy Designer III: $26.744 - $39.424 per hour

    Responsibilities include assisting in roadway project design under supervision, participating in designing highway features, performing hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, drafting plans, preparing project documents, and coordinating with various agencies. Qualifications vary by level, requiring coursework, training, or experience in highway design, CADD applications, and related skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel are required.
