Sr. Commercial Lines Placement Specialist – Acrisure

Job SummaryAs a seasoned insurance professional, you will lead the execution of new business and renewal processes for mid‑to‑large commercial accounts. Responsibilities include overseeing timelines, performing exposure and financial analysis, preparing quote specifications, negotiating coverage terms, and presenting comprehensive proposals. You will collaborate across teams, manage carrier relationships, and deliver consultative risk‑transfer solutions.
Responsibilities- Maintain timeline & process for new business and renewal, including exposure analysis, quote specs, and coverage proposals.
- Develop high‑level placement strategies for complex accounts, leveraging market intelligence and carrier relationships.
- Evaluate alternative risk‑financing mechanisms such as large deductible programs and captive structures.
- Build and structure insurance towers to provide higher coverage limits; conduct financial modeling and analysis.
- Exercise independent judgment when placing accounts with alternative carriers.
- Ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely execution of placement processes.
- Lead year‑end portfolio reviews, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Maintain executive‑level relationships with carriers and wholesalers.
- Communicate collaboratively within the team and with Client Advisors on marketing strategy and placement outcomes.
- Mentor and develop teammates; champion continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review policies, prepare submissions, analyze Excel data, and build loss‑sensitive models.
- Use rating tools and carrier systems for quoting and proposal development.
- Maintain all licensing and continuing education requirements.
- Participate in seminars, carrier events, and educational activities to enhance expertise.
- Provide risk‑resource engagement and project work as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and document accuracy.
- Effective team collaboration and customer‑service skills.
- Experience marketing large middle‑market accounts to carriers.
- Proficiency in all basic commercial coverages.
- Responsive presentation skills.
- 7+ years of relevant insurance experience in large commercial placements.
- College degree (preferred).
- Current applicable insurance license.
- Preferred professional designations: CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, CPCU.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking, financial analysis, and negotiation proficiency.
- Independent work capability with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience with Applied Epic (a plus).
