Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC) is accepting applications for a psychiatry clinical pharmacy specialist. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position with every 4th weekend coverage for adult internal medicine and no evenings. Relocation costs provided. Salary and sign-on bonus are negotiable. Fort Wayne, IN.

Role focuses on providing pharmaceutical care to inpatients with psychiatric consult services, enhancing multidisciplinary care, and optimizing medication therapy for adult and youth patients with complex mental health needs.

• Proactive patient care via chart review, rounding, and interaction with psychiatric consult services
• Medication histories, reconciliation, and optimization upon admission; discharge counseling and transitions of care coordination
• Monitor medication-related adverse events and evaluate treatment outcomes
• Develop psychotropic stewardship initiatives to ensure safe and appropriate use
• Educational sessions for pharmacy staff, residents, and medical personnel
• Formulary considerations and quality improvement initiatives, including pharmacy-driven research
• Participation in behavioral response team huddles and alerts

This role also focuses on developing learning experiences for pharmacy students and post-graduate pharmacy residents. It includes educating pharmacy staff and multidisciplinary providers about psychotropic medications, monitoring needs, and treatment guidance to support psychotropic stewardship efforts. Most consults will be for adults, with potential pediatric or adolescent patients on the PRMC campus.

• Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution
• Pharmacy licensure or eligibility in Indiana
• Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency with a PGY2 in Psychiatry or equivalent psychiatric experience;
  Board Certification in Psychiatry Pharmacy or qualification to sit for certification within two years of hire is required
• Strong clinical practice, teaching enthusiasm, and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, health professionals, and patients; willingness to develop the role with multidisciplinary collaboration
