PH Sched Pre-Auth Clerk – HOPD

Summary

Under the direction of the Outpatient Services Manager and/or Supervisor identifies requests to schedule outpatient procedures and insurances requiring pre-authorization. Handles a high degree of pressure, heavy workloads, multiple requests with interruptions in a positive manner establishing priorities for effective work completion. Adapts quickly to changing conditions assimilating new process into job functions.

Must be high school graduate or equivalent/GED.

Minimum of one year prior insurance experience such as scheduling, patient registration, pre-authorization including experience in Microsoft Word.

Maintains and operates office equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
