Central Access Scheduling, Surgical Registration Requirements:
• 2 years of work experience in healthcare setting
• 1 year of experience with data entry functions
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience with Insurance Eligibility Verification, knowledge of understanding insurance benefits and prior authorizations
• Surgical scheduling/treatment scheduling experience preferred
• Functional EPIC knowledge preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Job Summary:

Patient Access Representative III secures and provides appropriate information to patient families and funding sources to register, schedule and/or obtain authorizations for inpatient, outpatient, and/or diagnostic services. Experience/general knowledge of managed care health plans; knowledge of scheduling, registration, billing and/or claims payment. General knowledge of medical terminology or 6 months demonstrated work experience in a healthcare setting
