Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC) - $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

Position Summary:

The Licensed Therapist provides a variety of healing therapeutic services to students, parents and teachers in Fort Wayne Community Schools to enhance student development and achievement. The incumbent assists students in identifying, developing and meeting personal, educational and vocational objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Leadership:
  Provide a wide range of prevention, early intervention, and treatment services to students.
• Deliver group, individual, and/or family therapy.
• Provide immediate support for students or staff experiencing trauma or emotional distress.
• Support social‑emotional well‑being concerning anger, anxiety, ADHD symptoms, grief, trauma, depression.
• Coordinate student use of agency programs and outside community resources.
• Determine student needs and assist in developing and meeting personal, vocational, and educational goals.
• Develop social, academic, instructional groups and opportunities to support academic, social, and emotional behaviors.
• Provide classroom support for social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Communicate to parents and staff to enhance understanding of mental health issues.
• Serve as liaison among students, school staff, district administrators, outside agencies, and community regarding counseling services.
• Participate in community outreach and referral activities.
• Serve on committees (e.g., QIT, Readiness to Learn) to inform building‑wide initiatives.
• Attend meetings with principals, counselors, and leadership to address school‑wide needs.
• Support professional learning opportunities for staff related to mental health and social‑emotional needs.
• Liaise with community programs available within the building.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Regularly required to speak, hear, and use hand dexterity; sit or stand for extended periods; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch; close vision; push, pull, and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Working environment generally acceptable with limited exposure to disagreeable elements.
• Driving may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology or related field.
• Indiana State License in Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist (preferred); eligible for active license within 4 years of hire; commitment to sign a letter of commitment.
• Indiana driver’s license.
