Talent Acquisition Specialist @ Essex Solutions | HR Professional | Driving Employee Engagement
Position Summary The HR Generalist will handle a wide range of human resources duties and administrative tasks, supporting both plant operations and the corporate office. The ideal candidate is experienced, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, unionized environment.
Responsibilities- Partner with leadership to manage day‑to‑day HR operations in a unionized environment, including investigations and disciplinary procedures.
- Handle labor relations issues, including grievances, union meetings, and contract interpretation.
- Perform general administrative tasks to support HR and corporate office operations, including scheduling, record‑keeping, correspondence, and reporting.
- Support recruitment for hourly employees; onboarding and training for hourly and salary employees.
- Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support weekly payroll processing and attendance tracking.
- Assist with benefits administration as needed.
- Support HR‑related projects and initiatives across the organization.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, union contracts, and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, time‑management and organizational skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities, work independently, and keep confidentiality.
- Flexibility and availability to be onsite for off‑shift HR support; occasional travel to other sites as needed.
