Position SummaryThe Systems Engineer will be part of a talented team that demonstrates superb technical competency by delivering mission‑critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. A qualified Systems Engineer will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis. They bring excellent communication skills and strong knowledge of enterprise systems, servers, network, security, and other technical infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and demonstrates a keen eye for precision.
- Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines.
- Informs the supervisor of safety issues; immediately reports any workplace injury or incident.
- Monitor and support servers, storage, telecommunications, ERP, and network systems.
- Engage with external vendors/resources as required to support IT infrastructure.
- Execute the IT change control process during the execution of critical IT system changes.
- Participate in IT infrastructure procedures as required.
- Participate in IT project requirements definition, solution research, validation, implementation, and documentation.
- Help implement systems to automate IT tasks, enhance security, and prevent service interruptions.
- Act as tier‑3 IT support for local and remote users, including monitoring operating environments, responding to incidents, problems, and planning for growth.
- Manage end‑user system profile provisioning across all platforms, including logical and physical access.
- Engage in all aspects of IT project execution and day‑to‑day IT functions, including technical innovation, change control, and documentation.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- 1‑4 years of experience managing servers, storage, telecommunications, and network systems.
- Ability to prioritize support needs and delegate appropriately.
- Experience supporting Enterprise IT systems using both internal and third‑party resources.
- Understanding of Enterprise IT best practices for security, standardization, availability, and support.
- Knowledge of promote‑to‑production environment and change control processes.
- Desire to continually learn new technologies and improve skill set.
- Strong verbal, written, telephone, and public‑relations skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Client and Server Operating Systems.
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows‑based environments; knowledge of Active Directory administration (User, Group, Computer, Group Policy).
- Experience with scripting (e.g., Power Shell).
- Experience with network architecture and connectivity, setup, installation, support, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with systems monitoring solutions.
- Experience using Help Desk systems in an Enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of imaging and disk duplication technology.
- Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Citrix).
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AS400‑based environments.
- Experience managing a combination of on‑prem, hosted, and cloud‑based systems.
- Experience with maintenance and administration of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Experience with Cloud systems, preferably in Microsoft Azure.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee’s work is performed in a typical interior/office setting. The employee is expected to maintain an organized work area and contribute to the overall decorum of a professional setting. A minimal amount of work may require exposure to the manufacturing facility. The employee should be familiar with and compliant with all plant safety and cleanliness (GMP) regulations.
Workdays are generally Monday through Friday; additional, including weekend, hours may be required to fulfill job duties.
