We are seeking an experienced and people-focused UI/UX Manager to lead a team of talented UX professionals in creating engaging, intuitive, and meaningful digital experiences for our members and their customers. In this role, you’ll guide the user experience vision for Do it Best’s digital platforms—including ecommerce, member portals, and retail engagement tools—ensuring every interaction supports business goals and strengthens the cooperative’s value proposition.
You’ll serve as both a creative leader and a people manager—mentoring your team, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of thoughtful, human-centered design solutions. You’ll champion journey mapping and other research-driven methods to understand user needs, identify friction points, and translate insights into actionable design strategies that enhance the digital experience across the entire customer and member journey.

- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and creative team culture rooted in servant leadership, empathy and innovation.
- Conduct one‑on‑one meetings, performance reviews, and career development sessions focused on individual and team success.
- Coach team members in advanced research techniques, synthesis methods, and journey mapping to build organizational understanding of user experience.
- Define and drive the overall UX vision and design strategy in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Business teams.
- Integrate UX research insights into product strategy, ensuring design decisions are grounded in evidence and aligned with member and customer needs.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality design execution across products and touchpoints, maintaining a unified design language and user experience.
- Oversee the creation of user research plans, wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and visual designs that align with business goals and user needs.
- Champion accessibility, usability, and consistency through the governance and evolution of our digital design system.
- Work closely with cross‑functional partners—Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Business teams—to deliver end‑to‑end digital experiences that drive engagement and loyalty.
- Prioritize design projects, manage resources, and align design output with business priorities and product roadmaps.
- Advocate for the user perspective throughout the product development process, ensuring design decisions are informed by data and user insights.
- Drive continuous improvement in UX research, design tools, methodologies, and team workflows.
- Stay current on emerging design trends, tools, and best practices—introducing innovative approaches to improve user experience.
- Contribute to enterprise‑level initiatives that enhance business and technology enablement through design thinking.
- Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role in a retail environment.
- Proven experience leading UX teams through complex digital projects from discovery to delivery.
- Strong understanding of design systems, usability principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to articulate design rationale to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating closely with cross‑functional product and engineering teams in an Agile environment.
