Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Requirements Sweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments is seeking to hire a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing Data & Analytics team! This role will leverage internal and external data to visualize the appropriate KPI’s, and deliver actionable insight that bring value to our stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with business stakeholders across the enterprise to solve business challenges with strong analytical insights and solutions.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will own end-to-end analytical work, starting by scoping questions with stakeholders and developing an analytical plan, building the necessary data models and pipelines required by the project. You will be required to deliver results as dashboards, written analysis, or readouts, depending on what the stakeholder audience needs. We are looking for candidates who are hungry for the next challenge, exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills and take personal ownership of their projects.

This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN. Job Responsibilities Work with stakeholders to learn business objectives in order to establish appropriate KPI’sPartner with analytic engineers and data engineers to source, clean, & transform necessary data Build and maintain dashboards to tell a story with data, using clear and concise visualization

Be a consumer of the reports, monitor them and know when trends shift

Perform exploratory data analysis to correlate business drivers with shifts in KPI’sResponsible for completing statistical analysis for stakeholders across the enterprise

Qualifications5-7+ years of experience in BI Development Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science Experience in a BI tool is required (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Micro Strategy, etc.)Knowledgeable in SQL is critical, Python/R is a plus Natural curiosity with a strong business acumen (retail preferred)
Ability to work fast and accurately, but with an openness to try new things & fail – constantly iterating

Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive

Solid organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects easily while meeting deadlines

Strong communication skills with an ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization

Ability to handle sensitive data in a confidential manner
