OverviewAon is looking for a Claims Manager I As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as a Claims Manager I in our Ft. Wayne, IN office. In this hybrid role, you will oversee medical and participant accident claims, supporting our K&K Insurance group within Aon Affinity.
Job Responsibilities- Assign new medical and accident claims to direct reports.
- Supervise and train Claims Examiners, ensuring compliance with carrier requirements and internal procedures.
- Review and manage examiner caseloads, providing guidance on complex claim issues.
- Oversee claim payments exceeding examiner authority.
- Conduct monthly file audits and participate in quality assurance programs.
- Evaluate examiner performance and support ongoing professional development.
- Serve as a liaison with clients, brokers, healthcare providers, and internal teams regarding claim status and resolution.
- Communicate new account requirements and claims handling protocols.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Experience with medical or accident claims and knowledge of claims processes.
- Innovative thinker with a focus on process improvement.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in Medical, PIP or Workers Compensation claims.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $57,000 to $80,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
