Job Description
Pro Resources is seeking a Controls Technician for a client in Fort Wayne, IN. The Controls Technician will drive automation (PLCs & robotics) activity for optimized production. The successful candidate will also be required to help maintain manufacturing equipment, building facilities, and support all preventative maintenance programs. Apply Today!
Shift and Compensation- 1st Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Pay: $26 / hour
- Troubleshooting and managing the plant optimization of control systems including PLCs, VFDs, I/O, vision systems, HMIs, industrial networking systems, DCS system, and automation and control software
- Ability to configure and make programming changes to PLC, HMI & robots
- Assist technical services in machine repair, changeover, set-up and operation as required
- Perform all preventative maintenance requirements as scheduled
- Have mechanical aptitude that complements electrical capabilities
- Ability to schedule time, materials and equipment required to perform tasks, and to properly use and complete required documentation
- Support of Production as and when required
- Work cross-functionally with maintenance and production
- May be required to design and draw schematics for equipment updates
- Work with outside vendors effectively coordinating work
- 3+ years of professional controls experience preferred
- Proficiency in troubleshooting/modifying programs in PLCs/HMIs, Fanuc Robots, Servos
- Experience in tube and pipe industry preferred
- Ability to read and interpret schematics/blueprints and P&
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
