Machine Operator

Join our team as a Machine Operator at Sabert Corporation in Fort Wayne, IN. We’re looking for experienced operators who are mechanically inclined, safety‑focused, and eager to learn.

Starting rate: $24–$26 + $1 shift differential. Day and night shift positions are available, with a 12‑hour schedule of 6 am – 6 pm or 6 pm – 6 am (2‑2‑3 work schedule).

• Start up and operate extrusion and thermoforming lines.
• Make all process adjustments necessary to produce a quality product.
• Operate and adjust supporting automation equipment (lip roller, bagger, etc.).
• Coordinate and direct packers on the line for efficient production.
• Monitor line set points, temperatures, and pressures to maintain standard rates.
• Assist with tooling changeovers as needed.
• Complete production reporting.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area.

• Strong mechanical skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to problem‑solve and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good attendance records.
• Good performance evaluations.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong safety record.
• Previous operator experience or mechanical background preferred.

• Standing (95 % of the day).
• Lifting (no more than 40 lbs).
• Heat exposure when working on extruder die.

• 12‑hour shift: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm or 6:00 pm – 6:00 am.
• 2‑2‑3 work schedule.
