Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Part‑time, 2nd & 3rd Shift
Englewood Health and Rehabilitation seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate care to our residents on part‑time 2nd and 3rd shifts. Join our team of professionals committed to improving the lives of those we serve.
Primary Responsibilities- Follow written and verbal care assignments under supervision of a Staff Nurse.
- Assist residents with bathing, toileting, oral and skin care, grooming, nail care and dressing.
- Feed residents and provide bedside water, snacks, and transportation to dining areas as needed.
- Check catheters, provide catheter care, and monitor vital signs, intake & outputs, weights, and meal consumptions.
- Help residents with turning, positioning, exercising, transferring, and ambulation. Respond promptly to call lights.
- Maintain resident rooms (bed linens, clean bedside tables, organize belongings).
- Observe and report changes in appetite, skin condition, or behavior. Offer emotional support and listen actively.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident information in accordance with HIPAA and facility policy.
- Document incidents, accidents, complaints, or allegations using the designated reporting system.
- Comply with safety and infection‑control measures, using protective devices and following emergency protocols.
- Assist staff with medication records and other documentation as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the staff nurse.
- High school diploma or GED (student permit exception).
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) status with the State Department of Health (ISDH) in good standing. (CNA students or out‑of‑state CNAs eligible for 120‑day waiting period.)
- Computer literacy (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Integrity, discretion, and respect for resident privacy and confidentiality.
- Patience, cheerfulness, enthusiasm, and willingness to work with residents of all ages and abilities.
- Understanding of safe nursing practices and the state’s health regulations.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Professional code of ethics compliance and ability to collaborate with staff.
