Position SummaryNIVES is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our ER/ICU team. This is a hands‑on role supporting emergency and critical care patients in a high‑acuity setting. If you're passionate about animal care and thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment, we’d love to meet you.

We offer emergency services and specialties in internal medicine, surgery, and cardiology, and are proud to be Indiana’s only Level II Certified Critical Care Facility. Our team includes board‑certified specialists and experienced emergency veterinarians, supported by cutting‑edge diagnostic tools including CT, ultrasound, and digital radiography.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians and technicians with ICU exams, procedures, and treatments
- Monitor and record patient vitals and behaviors
- Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision
- Prepare and maintain exam and treatment areas
- Restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Provide client support and education
- Support lab work, stocking, and general hospital upkeep
- Registered Veterinary Technicians will be given the utmost consideration
- Experienced Veterinary Assistants and Veterinary Technician students are also encouraged to apply
- Strong clinical skill set
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a physically and emotionally demanding environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
