Maintenance Seasonal – Horticulture
Reliable, hands-on, and outdoors-focused-you enjoy physical work, teamwork, and helping keep parks looking their best.
What You'll DoSupport the daily care and maintenance of Fort Wayne's parks by assisting with horticulture and grounds work in a seasonal, outdoor role.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with mowing, trimming, mulching, pruning, planting, and weeding
- Support greenhouse tasks and work with horticulture crews as assigned
- Perform general grounds work, litter removal, and basic janitorial upkeep
- Safely operate and maintain tools, equipment, and City vehicles
- Follow City safety policies and complete basic work records
- At least 18 years old with three years of high school completed
- Gardening, landscaping, or outdoor work experience preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid Indiana Driver's License
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
This seasonal role offers hands-on experience, active outdoor work, and the chance to help maintain parks and green spaces the community enjoys.
