Senior Quality Control Technician

Overview

Senior Quality Control Technician role at Superior Essex. This position focuses on inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products to ensure they meet specifications. The role involves performing tests of varying complexity, reviewing detailed instructions, entering and presenting data, and preparing reports. The individual will use chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments and support the quality management system.

• Perform inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products to assure adherence to specification.
• Conduct a range of tests with attention to detail and maintain accurate records.
• Read, understand and follow detailed instructions; perform testing and data reporting (data entry, chart/report preparation).
• Utilize computer programs and tools to analyze data and support quality processes.
• Assist technicians, engineers and management to analyze, solve and correct problems.
• Support close tolerances where results may be sensitive to touch or judgment.
• Contribute to the quality management system as needed.

• High school education.
• Previous Quality Assurance work experience.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of computers.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO/QS/TS).
• High attention to detail and organized approach.
• Above-average mechanical skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to operate lab equipment.
