Job Type : Part-time, 25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, every donation and sale helps fund our Adult Rehabilitation Center program. The Retail Associate is an important part of that mission, helping customers, processing merchandise, and keeping the store clean, organized, and welcoming. We’re looking for energetic, dependable individuals who enjoy staying active and making a difference in their community.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
• Other duties as assigned

Training Provided

• Paid training on register and store procedures
• Ongoing coaching and support from store leadership

Required

• Ability to provide friendly customer service
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Basic communication and teamwork skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day
• High school diploma or currently pursuing

Preferred

• Previous retail, cashier, customer service, or thrift store experience
• Experience using a point of sale system
