As a direct member of a sales and advisory team, a Sales Executive (SE) is responsible for taking on the account leadership of new and existing relationships. The Sales Executive will develop new business opportunities, manage overall client relationships with the support of a service team, and lead strategy on complex accounts.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Developing New Relationships
    • Develop a network of outside influencers using referrals, industry associations, and professional service providers.
    • Actively prospect new business opportunities through sales tools, personal and professional networks, Gibson-sponsored events, and referrals.
    • Create synergy across Gibson practice areas while identifying cross‑selling and account rounding opportunities.
    • Follow up on leads in a timely manner.
    • Manage all sales activity within our customer‑relations‑management system.
    • Engage in professional and networking activities that maintain and expand the current book of business.
    • Achieve annual sales goals at or above agency standards.
    • Maintain an active pipeline of at least 3× annual sales goals.
  • Lead Risk Management Strategies for Existing Relationships
    • Provide efficient, professional, courteous service to clients with Client Executives, Client Managers, and Account Managers.
    • Analyze risk, coverage, program structure and recommend options; execute coverage and program changes.
    • Leverage insurance knowledge and communication skills to explain coverage terms, program options, and other items to clients as needed.
    • Offer innovative solutions, educate clients on insurance solutions available in the marketplace, and resolve difficult risk issues.
    • Work closely with service teams to review carrier proposals, analyze market summaries, and prepare renewal documents ensuring time frames and deliverables are met.
    • Keep current with carriers, strategic partners, products/services, and applicable legislation.
    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
    • Act as a backup to team personnel when necessary.
    • Maintain confidentiality of information.
You Might Be a Great Fit for This Role If You:
  • Have prior insurance sales and/or client executive experience in an agency, broker, or insurance company setting.
  • Have prior experience building and/or growing a book of business in a professional services industry.
  • Have demonstrated technical consulting experience with a track record of high client retention.
  • Enjoy presenting to clients.
  • Can work independently, as well as within an advisory team.
  • Find energy in creating and cultivating new relationships.
  • Are proficient in gathering data and excel in problem‑solving.
  • Are a self‑starter who takes initiative to succeed.
  • Are committed to professional growth and enjoy learning new skills.
  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills paired with above‑average knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Required
  • 5+ years of sales/consulting experience in a professional services industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty license.
  • Excellent computer and office machine skills, specifically with Microsoft Office products.
