Truck Driver CDL A Local

Immediately Hiring a Dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Driver in Fort Wayne, IN. We want the right employee to drive with us at Ryder.

• Weekly guarantee: $1,385 per week
• Solo miles: $0.51 per mile (minimum 2,500 miles per week)
• Solo stops: $10.00 per stop (10‑20 stops per week)
• Drop and Hook pay: $6.00 per drop/hook
• Shutdown bonus: $2,000 paid in two installments during the first year
• Sign‑on bonus: $1,000 at 30 days and $1,000 at 90 days
• Safety bonus: up to $250 per quarter if applicable
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday; start time flexible (AM or PM)

• Uniforms and boot allowance provided
• Paid personal time off: starts at 80 hours accrued in first year (unused balance paid out)

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and agency laws, regulations, and standards
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum age 21 years
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification for the last three years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide a valid Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements
• Must have Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, and policies
