Dental Officer

NHS Highland Public Dental Service currently has an exciting opportunity for a full‑time Dental Officer to provide services from the two clinics in the beautiful Lochaber area, Fort William and Mallaig.

• Provide a full range of General Dental Services to patient groups who cannot access NHS dentistry via General Dental Practitioners.
• Deliver routine general dental services, including treatment for priority group patients.
• Implement inhalation sedation for anxious patients (experience desirable).

• GDC registration as a dentist and successful listing with the Health Board.
• Clinical experience in treating priority group patients.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to manage difficult situations and challenging patient behaviours.
• Driving licence desirable.

• Eligibility for remote and rural allowance.
