We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to work within the developing Drug & Alcohol Service in the beautiful rural location of Lochaber.
You should be able to work in a creative and compassionate way, under guidance from the wider DARS team and CMHT Lead, providing high quality support to people presenting with drug and alcohol issues and addictions.
The role involves assessing and facilitation of treatment of drug and alcohol related difficulties, with a strong emphasis on communication, interpersonal and time management skills. You will be expected to assess risk, formulate and deliver plans of care, apply current MAT standards and treatment options, alongside psychological interventions.
Work will be multidisciplinary, requiring excellent relationships with partner agencies such as police, A&E, and GPs, to facilitate safe discharge plans and support training for these partners.
You will provide vital support to other DARS practitioners and the wider MDT, acting as an integral member of the extended care team to ensure safe and effective community care.
