Basic Salary £31,595 to £35,374 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Feed Operations Technician to join our new state of the art remote operations centre based in our offices in Fort William. This allows us to feed our seawater farms remotely enabling us to optimise our feeding strategy.

Each individual will be feeding multiple farms via a six screen workstation. The successful candidate will work a one week on/off shift pattern allowing for a great work-life balance.

About the job

The feed operations technician role is a crucial part of the operations process. We need our technicians to strive for continuous improvement and deliver on all aspects of our feeding strategy. The job includes, but is not limited to:

• Consistent communication and planning with the ROC/Farm Manager
• Remote feeding of our seawater sites
• Ensuring that daily routines and tasks are carried out in accordance with the SOP’s
• Monitoring and reporting of daily production data
• Monitoring feeding patterns and reporting any deviations to ROC Manager

The ideal candidate will have had previous experience in the aquaculture industry with an understanding of feeding practices. They will be willing to expand their knowledge and work hard on the job.

• Experience is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
• Previous experience using feeding systems is an advantage
• Strong communication skills are required
• Flexible approach to working to meet the demands of the job
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Respect for the need for safe working practices
